A love letter to the city, written afresh every week

Amsterdam is more than canals and tourists. It is the people who carry the city, and the places that give them a home. Amsterdammers.love tells their stories.

Every week we publish two stories: one about an Amsterdammer and one about a place — a building, a neighbourhood or a project. Often they belong together: the bicycle mender and her workshop, the gardener and his garden.

Every street has a story. We're going out to gather them.

The stories are written by local residents, with help from our editors. Anyone can write with us, and anyone can put someone in the spotlight.
